  My cat Rico had developed aswollen ear and Iwas able toget anappointment sameday. The people atreception were lovely and calming. The waiting space isblissfully designed and comfortable. Hewas seen promptly and with great care. The doc and her assistant were kind, knowledgeable and honest. And the costs were broken down before the services. Sohappy that I’ve found avet that Ican trust for great indepth care and fair practices.

  I love small door has 24/7online service. The place isalso super clean and the staffs are sopatient. It’s alittle expensive with memberships and stuff but overall it’s worthit. Iwant togive mypup the best care. Definitely recommend!

  Premium pricing, pretty expensive overall. Itwas fine until Ihad tomake asame day appointment for mysickdog. Iwas 12minutes late tomy appointment and they wouldn’t see mydog. Iunderstand the policy for preventative care, but when there’s something wrong, the policy doesn’t make sense. Not practical!

  This was myfirst visit toSmall Door. The atmosphere isinstantly comforting and serene. Thank you toDr Keefe for her kind concern for myMolly. Molly has torn ligaments inher knee and weare heading towards surgery. DrKeefe’s examination was very thorough and gentle. She gave usgreat information and was honest and reassuring. Molly was more relaxed and comfortable here than she has ever been atanyvet!

  I amin love with thisvet. They have been caring for mypuppy since Igother. Whenever Ihave anissue (like her eating garlic toan eye infection) they are always able toget mein tosee avet. Ilove their pay transparency— they walk you through the costs for everything and why they are doing things. They have nurse visits for follow ups which isgreat, and their messaging line isa life saver toerase any doubts Ihave when mypuppy isn't feeling 100% but Idon't think she needs togo tothevet. They also always message tofollow upafter her visit and provide any advice onquestions Ihave.

  Also pros: they have puppy play groups for pre-vaccination socialization, lots oftreats for the pups & coffee/drinks for the humans.

  We went toget ablood test and vaccines for our dog and itwas seamless experience without any wait. The doctor took great care ofmy pup and gave usthe prices before administering any treatment.

  Extremely overpriced and totally not holistic. They are avery unhealthy option for yourpet. Ifyou want tofill your baby with poisons ona regular basis through their expensive membership then that’s uptoyou.

  *****10/10***** Mona has been smalldoor member since she was 9weeksold. Asthe new pawrents, smalldoor 24/7telehealth isSO helpful. Faculties there are responsive and reliable! And welove the puppy playground they hold for unvaccinated puppies associalization101. Highly recommended smalldoor vet topawrents!

  What agreat experience wehad atthe small door vet with mywirehaired vizsla Benjamin!!! Wewere looking for anew vet since werecently moved from Miami, and soglad wechose the small door. First ofall, the place looks AWESOME, everyone issuper welcoming and nice! Transparent pricing, lovely staff, beautiful place, wewere even offered water/coffee, which was anice touch. Benjamin was obsessed with the treats aaaaand hedidn't even feel his shots orwhen the ladies were taking his blood,which isfantastic because heusually squeaks abit but this time – hedidn't notice anything. Anyways, LOVE LOVE LOVE, will recommend this place toeveryonenow:)… – show

  I recently adopted adog through arescue called
  Hearts&bones.
  I adopted mygirly Molly, and through hearts and bones Iwas informed about
  Small door veterinary.
  I remember growing upwith pets and bringing them tothevet, itwas NOT apleasant experience, but small door… completely revolutionary
  My daughter even enjoyedit, wesat inthe waiting room nolonger than 5mins, wethan entered the room and wesat ona comfy couch asour girl roamed around the room, the vet gave her afew treats, she was Not stressed atall
  Which was mymain concern asa rescue dog she’s more skittish than most, but she stood still asthey examinedher. She also received some vaccines
  And her preventives were given tome tostart her onthe first ofApril.
  I didn’t pay for any ofthe vaccines orpreventatives because Ihave the Premuim plus plan,
  Which covers that and somuch more.
  Everyone was friendly
  And chill.. Ilove how clean and minimal this place isand you have access toall locations
  So that’s aplustoo.

  I have been toboth the West Village and Williamsburg locations, and have had agood experience with both. Before mycheckup, Small Door had already contact myprevious vets toget the medical records for mypet (I'm not great atmaintaining records myself, sothis was anice convenience). Mycat had tohave surgery, and Ireceived updates throughout theday. The staff were all very helpful and caring. Another benefit ofSmall Door isthat they will submit pet insurance claims onyour behalf.

  Our puppy Snickers has been aSmall Door member for 7months now since wegot him at2monthsold. Weare sohappy wefound Small Door and have nothing but great things tosay!!!

  Service isA++ all around! With anew puppy, we’ve had many questions and concerns comeup. It’s soeasy toask any questions over the app/email, and the staffs are always really responsive nomatter the time ofthe day and check into make sure everything’s okay. Itreally gives usthe peace ofmind.

  re very nice and clean, and the doctors/nurses are always professional and thorough during visits. They also offer regular playgroups for puppies that are not fully vaccinated, which was super helpful ingetting Snickers socialized.

  Snickers isnow avery social, healthy, and happydog, and loves playing with friends!

  We have been bringing our dog toSmall Door since hewas 8weeksold. Welove that they hosted puppy play dates for unvaccinated puppies tohelp them socialize. Itwas ahuge part ofmaking sure our pup developed good social skills. Iknow that ifI email Small Door Iwill besure toget aresponse ASAP guiding uson the best path forward.   I switched toSmall Door Vet from adifferent vet and sohappy Idid! They’re soworth mytravel from Brooklyn tothe city. Mychocolate lab loves all the employees and loves going there. Wehave always gotten what weneed and they always made him feel comfortable. Iwant the best for mypup soI always contact them about any concerns and they always find the next available appointment. They make you feel socomfortable and heard any time you goto them. They treat the animals with somuch loveand care and they’re sopatient with pet parents. They answer all the questions you have. They also give you all the information you need inyour case and will email you links towhatever they recommendyou. They email you all ofyour invoices and all the information you covered during your visit. They’re extremely organized and efficient. They are super transparent and will discuss all ofyour options inyour personal case and they are never judgingyou. Atthe end oftheday, after discussing all ofyour options, you can decide what you feel isbest for yourpet. Besides all ofthis, the most important isthe care they give toyour pet and itis top notch. They give everything your pet needs inhealth care. Also every time Ipass bythere, Ialways see dogs pulling towards their door soeven the dogs approve! Since I’ve been with them, they have expanded and have multiple new locations which makes itso much easier for people traveling from different parts ofthe city.… – show

  I came toSmall Door seeking asecond opinion. Mydog (Manny) had suffered with chronic GIissues for years. The vet prior could never pinpoint what the issue was (I was told hehad polyps, then was told itwas anxiety related, then was told itwas his food,etc. etc). Small door recommended wedo anultrasound and blood work. The ultrasound immediately revealed that something was wrong, and shortly after welearnt that Manny had lymphoma ofthe GItract. Inbetween mysobs,Dr. Jamie Richardsonsat onthe phone with mefor over anhour and answered each and everyone ofmy questions.

  Unfortunately, there isno cure for Lymphoma, but Small Door made sure Manny remained comfortable throughout his entire diagnosis. Aphone call never went unanswered, anemail never went unread (and trust methere were many) throughout our entire time with them.

  On Mannys lastday,Dr. Jamie personally called me(after business hours, onjust afew minutes notice) totalk methrough the next steps. Its not often that you find aveterinary practice that isnot only extremely competent and knowledgeable, but also genuinely invested inyour dogs well being.

  I amcertain that Manny would not have lived for aslong and ascomfortable ashe did without the support fromDr. Richardson and her team. Iam forever grateful.

  Love the medical team atSmall Door-- they are always soprofessional, responsive, and genuinely care about your pets. Ilove how Ican get professional advice & book appts onthe app right away— somuch more convenient than traditional veterinaries. The doctors will also call you days after your visits just tocheck inon yourdog. Mydog Jojo loves going there! Clean, aesthetically pleasing, many treats (and beverages for humans)… Heard they're expandingtoo, soI really hope they can opena new branch inMidtown!

  That being said, there's still room for improvements. Since wehave the Premium Plus plan (plus all the extra fees), it's definitely onthe more expensive side, & not sure ifwe make the most out ofit. Esp because ofcovid, wecouldn't goin more often orattend any events. Also, some front desk staff atthe west village location aren't the most helpful and attentive ones; they seem rather cold and slow attimes.

  Overall, ifyou just got anewdog, you're inthe right hands! Small door still beats most veterinaries out there. Would still recommend! And huge congrats onthe expansion!
