‘A dorm-wide conspiracy to hide the kittens’: Students save strays despite no-pet policy on college campus, nurturing them for adoption while avoiding monthly inspections

Have you ever heard about a college student heist to save a litter of abandoned stray kittens who were found outside their dorms, malnourished, scared, and alone? Yeah, we neither. But guess what? You’re about to hear this story, just like we did. All is courtesy of the Cat Distribution System, of course the great rearranger of fate for feral felines to become spoiled house floofs. Just as nature intended. Every cat deserves a home. This is just a universal truth. We didn’t invent it, but the CDS is the one mysterious organisation helping it stay as true as day one adoption at a time. But these brave student souls? They didn’t take care of only one adoption. We’re talking about four little floofy babies. They were abandoned by their feral cat mama (she’s fine and taken care of, by the way so don’t worry), left malnourished on campus grounds, looking for the one who would help them. but there were way more than one person involved. With a strict no-pet policy on campus, and monthly dorm inspections, a whole group of students were involved in heisting these smol kitties to safety until they’re healthy and happy to be adopted. It’s a story about bravery, initiative, wit, and a whole lot of fluffy kittens.

Couple goes on a mission to save a momma cat and her 3 kittens from under their house, decides to foster them for a while but falls in love, adopting the entire litter

Our theory at the moment is that while the cat distribution system is very accurate in the humans that it attributes cats to, sometimes, its aim is not quite. purrfect. Sometimes, the cats spawn in weird locations. Of course, they always end up in the arms of their chosen human, but it does require said humans and cats to go through quite an adventure together. Like, when the CDS caused a cat to fall through a window into the arms of its forever human, or when the CDS accidentally dropped a cat inside of a person’s chimney, or when the CDS accidentally spawned a cat inside of a wall. And today, a couple had to go on an adventure to rescue a cat mom and her three kittens from underneath said couple’s house. Yeah, they had to go crawling in the crawlspace. Of course, the adventure, as always, was a success. The cats were captured, the kittens were adopted, and we were left with only one thing to say someone tell the transportation secretary at the CDS to improve the aim of the system.

‘I didn’t even want a cat’: Person who did not want cats gets chosen by not one, not two, but five whole cats via the cat distribution system, and they have never been happier

You know what is unfair? The fact that we are here, have been here, waiting to be chosen by the cat distribution system again for so many years, and it has not happened to us. We have been waiting and praying and hoping, but no. All the cats seem to be going to the people who don’t want cats. And that’s just. the most cat thing that the cat distribution system could ever do. So, we suppose that we cannot be mad about it. And still, it seems to be true. Cats choose people who hate cats all the time, and they choose people who don’t want cats like- literally all the time. This person who “didn’t even want a cat” got chosen by the system not once, not twice, not even three times, but five. Five whole times, this person got chosen by cats, and yes, we are so very jealous of them, and also so very happy that there are five kitties out there who are living in such a good and loving home.

Kind person rescues a sick kitten from the Starbucks drive-through, nurses her back to health, and the bond they create is so strong, he simply has to adopt her

There is never any way of knowing where the cat distribution system might catch you. Some of us spend years waiting, hoping and praying that we will walk into a shelter and be chosen by our future cat, that we will be worthy of it, while some of us. just have it happen on a random weekday afternoon. We have seen people adopt cats while on a walk. We have seen kittens walk onto people’s porches, just like that, on a random day, and get adopted. We have seen people get adopted while on a midnight picnic. It just happens sometimes, and once it happens, you simply cannot argue with it. We know that this man only went to Starbucks to get a coffee, and it is not his fault that his future kitten was lying there, in the drive-through, meowing for help, but it happened, and there he was, his cat waiting for him, and he did the only thing that he could have and should have he took the cat, nursed it back to health, and adopted it. And all is right with the world.
