**Project B: A New Global Basketball League Set to Launch in 2026**

Project B, a new global basketball league, officially announced its plans in October to host tournaments across Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The inaugural season is scheduled to begin in November 2026 and run through April 2027.

Founded by former Facebook executive Grady Burnett and Skype cofounder Geoff Prentice, the league recently revealed its first signed player: Nneka Ogwumike, star of the Seattle Storm and president of the WNBPA.

According to multiple sources who spoke to Front Office Sports, several other WNBA players have already signed deals to participate in Project B. These sources also reported that multiple stars are being offered seven-figure salaries starting at $2 million annually, with multi-year contracts potentially reaching eight-figure earnings.

In addition to competitive salaries, players will receive equity in the league, following a model similar to Unrivaled. This approach aims to provide athletes with a stake in the league’s long-term success.
