Ahead of a pivotal Week 11 matchup with division-rival Cleveland Browns, the Baltimore Ravens received crucial injury updates on three key players. While recent injury news has generally been positive—including encouraging updates on two-time MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson—three Ravens have now been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Baltimore’s official injury designations, wide receiver Rashod Bateman, cornerback Marlon Humphrey, and running back Justice Hill will all miss the game against the Browns. Bateman is sidelined with an ankle injury, Humphrey is dealing with a finger issue, and Hill is out due to a toe injury.
Both Bateman and Humphrey are key starters for the Ravens, with Bateman serving as a primary receiving threat and Humphrey anchoring the defense in the secondary. Hill plays an important role on offense as a change-of-pace back behind star running back Derrick Henry. Additionally, backup linebacker Jay Higgins IV has been ruled out with a knee injury.
Despite these absences, the Ravens enter the game favored over the Browns. A victory on Sunday would move Baltimore to 5-5 on the season, bringing them back to a .500 record for the first time since Week 2. After a tough 1-5 start, a fourth straight win would mark a significant resurgence, reestablishing the Ravens as serious playoff contenders.
### Lamar Jackson “Full Go” for Sunday
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh addressed the media on Friday ahead of the Browns matchup and confirmed that Lamar Jackson will be a “full go” for Sunday’s game. This comes despite Jackson appearing on the injury report this week with a knee issue. Having previously missed three games earlier this season due to a hamstring injury, it’s a relief for Baltimore that their star quarterback will not be limited against Cleveland.
Bateman’s absence, however, places additional pressure on the rest of Baltimore’s receiving corps. When asked about his confidence in the team’s depth at receiver, Harbaugh replied, “Yeah, I feel good about the guys. I think we’re deep at receiver. [Devontez Walker] would obviously be the next man up in that area, and he’ll be prepared to go if that turns out to be the case.”
### The Ravens Are Fighting for Their Playoff Lives
Despite the rocky start to the season, Baltimore remains just one game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North standings. With both of their head-to-head matchups against Pittsburgh still ahead, the Ravens have a clear path to control their own playoff destiny.
That said, the margin for error is slim. Climbing back into playoff contention will require mental toughness and consistent execution down the stretch.
Reflecting on the importance of Sunday’s game, Harbaugh stated, “Good practice. Big, big important game on Sunday in Cleveland. We’re preparing for it, we’re looking forward to it. We’re going to try and put our best foot forward.”
As the Ravens take the field, all eyes will be on how they respond amid adversity, with playoff hopes hanging in the balance.
