A WWE veteran recently received a heartwarming message from AEW President Tony Khan amid his hiatus from TV. Tony reacted to the legend’s recent social media post regarding All Elite Wrestling, showing his support during the wrestler’s recovery period.
Tony Khan has a special message for WWE legend Dustin Rhodes (formerly known as Goldust), who is currently out of action due to surgery. Dustin was last seen on an episode of AEW Collision in July, where he lost his TNT Championship to Kyle Fletcher. Since then, fans have been eagerly wondering when “The Natural” will return to the ring.
In a recent post on X, Dustin Rhodes shared that he was watching AEW Dynamite: Blood and Guts, which took place this week. Tony Khan noticed Dustin’s post and sent a heartfelt message in response:
“Miss you buddy! #AEWDynamite”
Regarding his recovery, Dustin provided an update stating that he expects to be ready for a return around March 2026. While the wait continues, the wrestling community remains hopeful for his comeback.
### Dustin Rhodes Praises Tony Khan’s Role Backstage in AEW
Earlier this year, Dustin Rhodes expressed his admiration for Tony Khan’s work behind the scenes at AEW. Speaking exclusively with Bill Apter of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Dustin opened up about the locker room atmosphere and the positive impact Khan has had:
> “It’s a place that I’ve never experienced in my career, in a good way. It’s 100% different than the other company. It’s fun, it keeps your passion alive. Tony does a great job at everything, controlling all us talent, and we’re just having fun, man. Trying to grow this brand. AEW, and Dynamite, Collision, Ring of Honor. Hopefully soon we’ll get some kind of TV package or TV deal for Ring of Honor. Man, it’s just fun. I’m having the time of my life.”
The 56-year-old legend has been sidelined for the past few months, but his positive outlook and support from the AEW family make it clear that fans can look forward to seeing him step back into the ring in the future. Only time will tell when Dustin Rhodes will make his highly anticipated return.
