An earthquake swarm struck the San Francisco Bay Area on Sunday morning, causing concern among local residents.
The series of quakes ranged in magnitude from 2.9 to 3.8 on the Richter scale. They occurred within a short time frame, between 9:38 a.m. and 9:41 a.m., approximately 4 miles southeast of San Ramon.
Residents in Emeryville, Dublin, and San Ramon reported feeling noticeable “jolts,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The quakes were centered about 25 to 30 miles east of San Francisco.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation, but no significant damage has been reported so far.
