If you look at enough pictures of adorable lions and other big cats online, you might start to lose sight of just how dangerous they really are. We say that from experience. For our job, we constantly scroll through cute pics of big cats. That’s not a complaint, of course, but we do joke about how we might end up on the news one day for petting something we really shouldn’t. Because sometimes, we kind of forget—they’re just so adorable.
If given the chance, we’d probably try to make friends with them. But it’s good to be reminded every now and then why reaching into a zoo cage is a bad idea. And we can’t think of a more awesome way to demonstrate that than by letting a couple of professional wrestlers go up against one adorable lioness in a game of tug of war.
As cute as lions are, we all know they’re incredibly strong. And yet, the way the camera panned during the match managed to surprise everyone, ourselves included. It’s a perfect reminder that beneath that adorable facade lies immense power and caution is always warranted.
