I suspect there’s a reason they don’t manufacture brass knuckles for fish, but I just can’t put my finger on it.
That got me thinking: what would happen if entire NFL telecasts appeared stats-free, showing only the score, the time left, the quarter, and remaining timeouts? Imagine watching a game without the endless barrage of statistics, the know-nothing, bad-guess stat men, and the obedient game announcers parroting every number.
Would the telecast feel more authentic? Or do you think you’d be less likely to watch without all those stats filling the screen?
