Marks out of 10: South Africa player ratings after their 1-2 T20I series defeat against Pakistan

**South Africa Players Performance Overview**

**Quinton de Kock**
Matches: 3 | Runs: 30 | Average: 10.00 | Strike Rate: 142.85 | Highest Score: 23
Since returning to the South Africa side after an absence of over a year, de Kock has struggled, averaging only 7.75 at a strike rate of 124.00. His poor form was highlighted by scores of 23, 7, and 0 in the series.

**Tony de Zorzi**
Matches: 2 | Runs: 40 | Average: 18.00 | Strike Rate: 153.84 | Highest Score: 33
Despite an underwhelming T20 record, de Zorzi earned his T20I debut and started impressively with a match-winning 16-ball 33 in the series opener. However, his next innings of seven was scratchy, and he was subsequently left out of the third match.

**Reeza Hendricks**
Matches: 3 | Runs: 94 | Average: 31.33 | Strike Rate: 120.51 | Highest Score: 60 | 1 fifty
Hendricks was one of three half-centurions in the series and the only South African to score a fifty. His 40-ball 60 helped South Africa take an early lead, though it was followed by a duck and a stuttering 34.

**Dewald Brevis**
Matches: 3 | Runs: 55 | Average: 18.33 | Strike Rate: 127.90 | Highest Score: 25
Brevis got starts in the final two matches but failed to convert them into big scores. After his record-breaking 125* and 53 against Australia in August, he has now gone five innings without a fifty.

**Donovan Ferreira**
Matches: 3 | Runs: 54 | Average: 18.00 | Strike Rate: 131.70 | Highest Score: 29 | 1 wicket at 52.00, Economy 7.25, Best Bowling 1-30
With David Miller sidelined due to a hamstring injury, Ferreira was handed captaincy just nine matches into his career. After two failures with the bat, his 29 off 14 balls from number 6 in the final game provided momentum for South Africa, helping post 139-9 in a shaky innings. Bowling off-breaks, he took 1-30 in the decider.

**Matthew Breetzke**
Matches: 3 | Runs: 7 | Average: 2.33 | Strike Rate: 53.84 | Highest Score: 5
Despite a record-breaking ODI start, Breetzke’s T20I numbers have yet to reflect similar success. Scores of 1, 5, and 1 in the series were disappointing for South Africa.

**Lhuan-dre Pretorius**
Matches: 1 | Runs: 0
Pretorius fell for a duck in the third match, his only appearance in the series. Fast-tracked into the T20I side following his record-breaking Test debut in June, the 19-year-old southpaw now averages 13.08 from 12 T20Is. His strike rate of 121.70 suggests potential yet to be fully realized.

**Corbin Bosch**
Matches: 3 | Runs: 48* | Average: 24.00 | Strike Rate: 120.00 | Highest Score: 30* | 7 wickets at 7.85, Economy 5.50, Best Bowling 4-14
Bosch made valuable all-round contributions throughout the series. He began with an excellent 4-14 in the opener, followed by a 30* off 23 balls from number 8 in the second match, helping South Africa recover from 95-7 to 139-9. In the third game, he took 2-24, finishing as the highest wicket-taker of the series.

**George Linde**
Matches: 3 | Runs: 45 | Average: 15.00 | Strike Rate: 125.00 | Highest Score: 36 | 3 wickets at 20.66, Economy 6.88, Best Bowling 3-31
Linde earned a Player of the Match award for his all-round performance (36 off 22 and 3-31) in the opener. However, his runs dried up and he failed to take a wicket in the remaining games, though he remained economical.

**Lizaad Williams**
Matches: 2 | Wickets: 4 | Average: 11.75 | Economy 7.62 | Best Bowling 3-26
Williams played in the first and the final match, performing steadily by taking two wickets in each game.

**Lungi Ngidi**
Matches: 2 | Wickets: 1 | Average: 49.00 | Economy 8.16 | Best Bowling 1-35
Ngidi was replaced in the deciding match after failing to make a significant impact in the first two games.

**Nandre Burger**
Matches: 2 | Wickets: 0 | Economy 8.16
Burger went wicketless in both matches before being dropped for the third game.

**Andile Simelane**
Matches: 1 | Wickets: 1 | Average: 23.00 | Economy 7.66 | Best Bowling 1-23
Simelane came in as a replacement for the third game, managing a solitary wicket.
