What is Techrot Overload in Warframe?

At the end of each “year” in Warframe: 1999, the calendar will flip over. The Drifter and his newfound pals in the Hex save Hollvania, stop the nuclear explosion, and begin the cycle anew.

When you first click on the calendar in the POM-2 PC, you will get the option for Techrot Overload. However, many players seem confused about what this actually entails.

### What is Techrot Overload in Warframe?

Techrot Overload allows you to reset your relationships with the different characters that you meet in Warframe: 1999. These characters are divided into two groups:

– **The Original Six Members of the Hex**: Arthur, Eleanor, Lettie, Aoi, Amir, and Quicy
– **The Round Table**: Flare, Kaya, Minerva, and Velimir

You can choose to reset the relationships for one group without affecting the other.

When you perform a Techrot Overload reset, it will clear your chat history, relationship status, and chemistry levels with the selected group. Importantly, nothing else will change. You will retain your Syndicate rank and standing, as well as any unlocked weapons and items.

### Why Use Techrot Overload?

Techrot Overload is a convenient way to completely restart your interactions with a group if you feel you have made mistakes in your conversations. It also serves as a simple and painless method to break up with a character if you’re hesitant about having that difficult conversation. Any relationship you are currently in will not survive the reset; you will essentially be starting from zero.

### Important Notes

– You can only perform Techrot Overload after December 31 of each year has passed.
– If you are currently in a relationship, you must have shared your New Year’s Eve kiss before you can reset.

Techrot Overload offers flexibility and a fresh start, letting you sculpt your journey with the characters of Warframe: 1999 exactly how you want it.
