Coinbase CEO Says It’s ‘Never Too Late’ to Enter Crypto

Brian Armstrong, chief executive officer of cryptocurrency exchange giant Coinbase, has rejected the notion that cryptocurrency is too expensive for new investors. He explained that those looking to get started do not actually need to buy an entire Bitcoin or Ethereum.

“You don’t need to buy a full Bitcoin or ETH to get started. You can start buying and holding crypto with a few dollars. It’s never too late,” Armstrong said in a recent social media post.

### Less than 1 Million Full Bitcoin Owners

According to data provided by CoinLedger, roughly 987,000 Bitcoin addresses hold at least one full coin. However, the number of individuals who own a whole Bitcoin is likely to be substantially lower, as one investor can control multiple wallets.

Despite this, some commentators have found the idea of buying just a few dollars’ worth of Bitcoin to be somewhat impractical, considering that the cryptocurrency’s total market value already exceeds $2.2 trillion. Even if the most bullish BTC price forecasts come to fruition, investing insignificant amounts in the two largest cryptocurrencies is unlikely to make someone wealthy.

### Retail Traders and Altcoins

As a result, many retail traders are turning to countless altcoins that might have substantial upside potential, essentially treating crypto investing like a lottery.

Some have also suggested adding satoshis—the smallest unit of Bitcoin—to Coinbase’s platform. This move could make buying Bitcoin more appealing since humans tend to prefer round numbers.

### $1 Million Bitcoin Price Prediction

As reported by U.Today, Armstrong previously predicted that Bitcoin has a good chance of reaching $1 million by the end of the decade. He attributed this potential rise to regulatory clarity and broader institutional adoption.

Currently, Bitcoin is trading slightly above the $110,000 level, marking significant growth as it continues to capture mainstream attention.
