England Women batter Nat Sciver-Brunt has added another impressive achievement to her career. During the 2025 ICC Women’s ODI World Cup match against Bangladesh at Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, Sciver-Brunt became England’s third-highest run-scorer in Women’s One Day Internationals (WODIs).
She surpassed former England batter Claire Taylor with her 10th run in the match, overtaking Taylor’s tally of 4,101 WODI runs scored at an average of 40.20 during her illustrious career.
Currently, Nat Sciver-Brunt trails only Charlotte Edwards, who amassed 5,992 runs, and Tammy Beaumont, who has over 4,500 runs, in England’s WODI run charts. It is also worth noting that Sarah Taylor and Heather Knight remain among the elite, both having crossed the 4,000-run mark in WODI cricket for England.
According to ESPNcricinfo, Sciver-Brunt achieved this milestone in her 123rd match (109 innings), surpassing the 4,100-run threshold with an impressive batting average of over 46. Additionally, her strike rate of over 95 is the highest recorded by any England batter with more than 1,000 WODI runs.
Nat Sciver-Brunt’s consistency and aggressive batting style continue to make her a key asset for England, as she climbs steadily up the record books in women’s international cricket.
