Nashik: Social Activist Mamata Sindhutai Sapkal Honoured With Sneh Award

The prestigious ‘Sneh Award – For Selfless Human Service’ was recently presented to social activist Mamata Sindhutai Sapkal by the Rotary Club of Nashik Grape City. Known for her unwavering dedication, Mamata Tai, daughter of the late Padma Shri Dr. Sindhutai Sapkal—fondly called the ‘Mother of Orphans’—has continued her mother’s legacy by transforming the lives of vulnerable, orphaned, and needy children in society.

The award ceremony was graced by Adv. Nitin Thakare, General Secretary of MVP Sanstha, who served as the chief guest for the program. The honor was bestowed upon Mamata Tai by former Provincial Governor of Rotary International, Asha Venugopal.

During the event, a comprehensive interview with Mamata Sapkal was conducted. Titled ‘Atman – Discovering the Self’, the interview delved into her inspiring life journey. Mamata Tai shared the invaluable teachings of her mother, Sindhutai, highlighting her immense sacrifices for humanity. She conveyed a powerful message encouraging everyone to view selfless service as the true purpose of life.

The ceremony was attended by GrapeCity President Anjali Mehta, Secretary Amit Gharte, Deputy Secretary Dr. Kaustubh Mahajan, and all members of Nashik GrapeCity, making it a memorable occasion celebrating dedication and compassion.
