Ayala-backed Globe Telecom has called for stronger ties with foreign partners to combat online scams, as fraud losses in the Philippines have already reached a staggering $8.1 billion.
The telecommunications company made this appeal during the Global Anti-Scam Summit Asia 2025, which was held last month in Singapore.
At the summit, Globe Telecom urged more than 1,000 participants to treat cybercrime as a serious and urgent issue that requires collaborative efforts across borders.
Strengthening international partnerships is seen as a crucial step in effectively fighting the growing threat of online fraud in the region.
