**Goldy Brar Gangsters, Hired to Kill Comedian Munawar Faruqui, Arrested**

Two alleged members of the Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar-Virender Charan gang were arrested in Delhi on Thursday for planning to murder stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui.
The suspects, identified as Rahul and Sahil, hail from Panipat and Bhiwani in Haryana. Investigators revealed that they were operating under the orders of foreign-based gangster Rohit Godara, who collaborates closely with Goldy Brar and Virender Charan.
**Investigation Details**
According to police reports, the suspects conducted reconnaissance in Mumbai and Bengaluru to track Faruqui’s movements. Munawar Faruqui is a well-known comedian and a popular public figure, having won the reality show *Bigg Boss* in 2024. He also boasts a massive following of 14.2 million on Instagram, making him a high-profile target.
Notably, Rahul, one of the arrested suspects, was already wanted in connection with a triple murder case that took place in Yamunanagar, Haryana, in December 2024.
**Arrest Details**
The police acted swiftly on a tip-off regarding the presence of shooters near New Friends Colony in Delhi. Authorities set up a trap on Kalindi Kunj-Pushta Road and spotted a suspicious motorcycle around 3:00 AM.
When the suspects were ordered to stop, they opened fire, leading to an exchange of gunfire. Both Rahul and Sahil sustained gunshot wounds to their legs during the encounter before being apprehended.
The injured suspects were immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. The police also confiscated firearms used in the shootout along with the motorcycle involved.
**Context**
This incident comes amid a surge in attacks targeting celebrities. Just weeks earlier, on September 12, two shooters on a motorcycle opened fire outside actress Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly. The Rohit Godara-Goldy Brar gang claimed responsibility for that attack as well, highlighting the gang’s expanding reign of terror.
The arrest of Rahul and Sahil is a significant development in the ongoing efforts to curb gangster-related violence and protect public figures from such threats. Authorities continue to investigate further connections and motives behind these attacks.
