Mojang has announced that **The Copper Age** game drop will release next week during today’s **Minecraft LIVE 2025** broadcast. Minecraft players are set to enter The Copper Age when the update launches on **September 30, 2025**.
A copper-powered future awaits fans, featuring a new style of tools, décor, light sources, storage solutions, and much more. Here’s a breakdown of all the exciting features coming to The Copper Age:
### Copper Golem
Summon Copper Golems using copper and carved pumpkins to help bring your base to life. The Copper Golem automatically removes items left in copper chests and sorts them based on item type.
### Copper Chests
This new block works hand-in-hand with the Copper Golem. Drop items into a Copper Chest, and the Golem will sort them for you, making organization easier than ever.
### Copper Golem Statue
A fully oxidized Copper Golem transforms into a Copper Golem Statue. You can scrape off the patina with an axe to wake them up. These statues come in four fun poses that players can select by interacting with them. They also emit unique signals when connected to a redstone comparator.
### Copper Tools and Weapons
Copper is now an official equipment tier, with durability between iron and stone. Unlike copper blocks, these tools and weapons will not oxidize over time.
### Copper Armor
Players can look forward to a full set of copper armor, including helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots. Copper armor is more durable than leather but slightly less sturdy than iron. Copper Horse Armor will also be available to protect your trusted steed.
### Shelves
New useful blocks that allow players to display up to three items, perfect for customizing your bases.
### Oxidizing Lightning Rods
Any lightning rods crafted will gradually change color from a shiny orange to a bright green as they oxidize over time.
### Copper Lanterns, Torches, Chains, and Bars
Mojang is introducing new copper-themed lighting and decorative blocks to enhance build aesthetics.
### New Dye Art
Dye art icons have been revamped to make them easier to identify and more visually distinct.
### Iron Golem and Copper Golem Interaction
When an Iron Golem meets a Copper Golem, they become friends! The Iron Golem presents the Copper Golem with a flower, which the Copper Golem immediately places on its head—a charming new interaction adding personality to the game.
