Sri Lanka’s Pathum Nissanka delivered an incredible century against India in the Men’s T20 Asia Cup Super 4 match. Chasing a daunting target of 203, Nissanka played a crucial innings to keep Sri Lanka in the hunt in Dubai. He formed a record-breaking 127-run partnership for the second wicket alongside Kusal Perera. Although the match went to a Super Over and Sri Lanka eventually lost, Nissanka became only the third player to score a T20 Asia Cup century.

#1 Babar Hayat: 122 vs Oman, Fatullah, 2016

Hong Kong’s Babar Hayat was the first-ever player to score a century in the T20 Asia Cup. He reached this milestone during the 2016 T20 Asia Cup Qualifiers against Oman in Fatullah. Hayat’s magnificent 60-ball 122 included 9 fours and 7 sixes as Hong Kong chased down 181. Despite his valiant effort, Hong Kong fell just five runs short of victory.

India’s Virat Kohli is next on the list, having smashed an unbeaten 122 off 61 balls against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup held in Dubai. His innings featured 12 fours and 6 sixes. This century was Kohli’s maiden T20 International ton and came while opening the innings, marking a remarkable return to form after a lean patch. Thanks to his brilliance, India posted a massive total of 212/2 and later secured a comfortable 101-run victory.

#3 Pathum Nissanka: 107 vs India, Dubai, 2025

Pathum Nissanka is the latest batter to join this elite list. He hammered a 58-ball 107, including 7 fours and 6 sixes. According to ESPNcricinfo, Nissanka is the first Sri Lankan batter to score a T20I hundred against India. His innings surpassed the previous best individual score for Sri Lanka against India, which was 79 runs in 2024. Additionally, Nissanka became only the third player to score a hundred in India-Sri Lanka T20 Internationals.
