As expected, fans went crazy as soon as Shraddha appeared on stage, setting the tone for an exciting event filled with surprises.
### Grand Launch of the MHCU Logo
The first surprise came right at the beginning with the launch of the logo for the **Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU)**. Shraddha Kapoor officially unveiled the logo, which perfectly captures the spirit of the franchise. Notably, the “H” in MHCU is highlighted in a bloody red color, adding a chilling effect that’s apt for a horror comedy brand.
Present at the launch were blockbuster producer **Dinesh Vijan** of Maddock Films, director **Amar Kaushik**—known for *Stree*, *Stree 2*, and *Bhediya*—and writer **Niren Bhatt**, all key players behind this exciting universe.
### Shraddha Kapoor’s Insights on MHCU
Shraddha Kapoor praised the vision behind MHCU, saying,
*“We can call Dinesh Vijan as Dinesh Vision. He expanded his vision a lot after *Stree*. He gave us films like *Bhediya*, *Munjya*, and now *Thamma* is all set to release. Toh hum sabko aur zyada mazaa aane waala hai. I feel that to be part of a film like that was very special.”*
She further shared her thoughts on the cultural roots of the films:
*“We want to now do films which are rooted in our culture. Thankfully, the audience is giving us that validation. That is something very amazing as we become a part of moving cinema forward. This is something that we are making in India. Abhi bahar gaav ke universes ko bhool jaao! Hamara khud ka desi horror comedy universe hai yaar!”*

*Thamma* stars a stellar cast including **Ayushmann Khurrana**, **Rashmika Mandanna**, **Paresh Rawal**, and **Nawazuddin Siddiqui**. Directed by **Aditya Sarpotdar**, known for *Munjya*, the film is scheduled to release on **Diwali**, this year.
### Release Date Confirmation
The trailer launch event also confirmed the official release date of *Thamma* as **October 21**. Bollywood Hungama was the first to announce that Maddock Films has locked this date to bring their upcoming horror comedy to cinemas worldwide.
