MANILA, Philippines — Adis Lagumdzija erupted for 28 points to send Turkiye to its first-ever FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship quarterfinal after ousting the Netherlands, 27-29, 25-23, 25-16, 25-19, on Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena.
After a round of 16 exit at the hands of the USA in 2022, Turkiye made its breakthrough to the quarterfinals this year, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s volleyball history.
