Jennie Garth Joins List of Actors Who Auditioned for *The White Lotus* as Series Moves to Saint-Tropez
*The White Lotus*, Mike White’s critically acclaimed HBO anthology series, is set to return for Season 4 in Saint-Tropez, France. Recently, actress Jennie Garth revealed that she had auditioned for a role in the show’s third season, which was set in Thailand.
Speaking on her *I Choose Me* podcast, Garth shared, “For me, one of the roles that I have recently not gotten that I was bummed about was one of the characters on *White Lotus*. And they shot that season in Thailand, which I would have really loved. So I was bummed about that. I’m not gonna lie.”
While Garth did not specify which character she auditioned for, the third season featured a variety of intriguing roles. Among them were Parker Posey’s pill-popping southern housewife Victoria Ratliff and the trio of passive-aggressive frenemies: Kate (Leslie Bibb), Laurie (Carrie Coon), and Jaclyn (Michelle Monaghan). Given Garth’s range and style, she could have been a fit for any of these compelling characters.
Garth’s revelation adds to a growing list of notable actresses who have tried to check into *The White Lotus*. Grey’s Anatomy star Jessica Capshaw also disclosed that she auditioned for the role of Kate in Season 3. Additionally, country singer Kelsea Ballerini revealed that she had auditioned to play Portia, the personal assistant character ultimately portrayed by Haley Lu Richardson in the Italy-set Season 2.
As fans eagerly await the new season set in the glamorous French Riviera, the buzz around the cast and auditions continues to build, highlighting the show’s ongoing appeal and the coveted opportunity it offers performers.
