BORDENTOWN — The Lawrence High varsity girls’ basketball team used a balanced attack to hold off Camden, 41-36, Monday on the opening day of Bordentown Holiday Hoops. Amber Wooding led the way for the Cardinals with a game-high 15 points, while K.J. Williams steered the defense with 13 rebounds and four blocked shots.
Lawrence will return to play the host team in Tuesday’s 11:30 a.m. championship game.

BURLINGTON — The Northstars outscored Florence, 13-6, in the fourth quarter to earn their first win and a spot in the championship game of the Burlington Township Holiday Tournament. TiKayla Smith (11 points), Zi’Asia Williams (10), and KyAsia Spotwood (9) led Nottingham’s attack. Ryann Smith was the game’s high scorer with 15 points for Florence.
Nottingham advances to Tuesday’s noon final against the home team. Florence will play Overbrook in a 10 a.m. third-place game.
