Josiah Johnson led Red Bank Regional with a 22-point performance as the team secured a 63-55 overtime victory against Shore in West Long Branch.
The contest was tightly contested throughout, with both teams matching each other in the first and third quarters, resulting in ties. Shore managed to outscore Red Bank Regional by two points in the second quarter, but the visitors responded strongly in the fourth quarter to even the score and force overtime.
Johnson was one of three Red Bank Regional players to score in double figures. Will Galligan and Justin Valentino each contributed 14 points, while Bennett Lopez added seven points and grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds. The win improved Red Bank Regional’s record to 4-5.
For Shore, Andrew Barham led all scorers with 25 points, and Ryan Barham was close behind with 20 points. Shore’s record moved to 3-3 after the close loss.
