Morgan Lake to Remain Open for Limited Day Use This Winter
Union County – Morgan Lake will remain open for limited day use throughout the winter season. Traditionally closed during winter months, the park will now welcome visitors starting December 8 for walk-in day use, according to La Grande Parks and Recreation Director Stu Spence.
This change comes in response to several requests from the community to keep the park accessible during the colder months. However, certain facilities and activities will remain restricted to ensure safety and maintenance during the season.
Visitors should note that restrooms and direct lake access will remain closed for the duration of the winter. Additionally, fishing, camping, and fires continue to be strictly prohibited.
