The schedule for the much-awaited ICC T20 World Cup 2026 was revealed on Tuesday, November 25. The tournament featuring 20 teams will be played from February 7 to March 8. The event will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai is among the eight venues finalized for T20 World Cup 2026 and will host eight games, including the second semifinal. The first match of T20 World Cup 2026 to be played at the Wankhede Stadium will be a Group A clash between hosts India and United States of America on February 7. England will then face Nepal in a Group C game on February 8. England and West Indies will clash in another Group C clash on February 11. Three other Group C matches will also be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Nepal will meet Italy on February 12, West Indies will take on Nepal on February 15, while Bangladesh will clash with Nepal on February 17. The Wankhede Stadium will also host a Group 1 Super 8 match (X2 vs X3) on February 23 and the second semifinal of T20 World Cup 2026 on March 5. A total of 40 matches will be played in the group stage between February 7-20. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Eights, which begins on February 21. The top four teams following the completion of the Super Eights will qualify for the knockouts. The semifinals will be played in Kolkata/Colombo and Mumbai on March 4 and March 5 respectively, while the grand final will be played on March 8 in Ahmedabad/Colombo.
