He added that an announcement regarding Kiffin’s future is expected on the Saturday following the Egg Bowl next weekend. Carter said Kiffin also met with Chancellor Glenn Boyce as part of those discussions. While acknowledging the uncertainty surrounding the situation, Carter emphasized that the program’s immediate priority is its sixth-ranked team, which is positioned to finish the regular season “in historic fashion.” He said Kiffin remains focused on preparing the Rebels for the upcoming Egg Bowl and that both leaders want players and coaches to be able to concentrate fully on next Friday’s game.
