Utah Tech Edges Mississippi Valley State 81-75 in Overtime
HONOLULU (AP) — Ethan Potter scored 22 points to lead Utah Tech to an 81-75 overtime victory over Mississippi Valley State on Friday. Potter also contributed 13 rebounds and three blocks for the Trailblazers, who improved to 3-3 on the season.
Madiba Owona added 16 points and six rebounds, while Chance Trujillo finished with 12 points, shooting 4-for-13 from the field, including 2-for-11 from beyond the arc.
The Delta Devils (1-4) were led by Michael James, who scored a game-high 20 points. Daniel Mayfield added 19 points and nine rebounds for Mississippi Valley State, and Delkedric Holmes contributed 12 points and two steals.
