The North Line update is set to arrive on November 13, 2025, at 1:30 a.m. PT / 4:30 a.m. ET. At launch, players will be invited to participate in a community challenge event called **Breaking New Ground**. In Breaking New Ground, players will help Speranza rebuild the tunnels that connect Stella Montis to the northern region by completing several rounds of challenges. Contributing resources during the event will earn players **Merits**, a special currency that fuels the next phase of the community event. Once unlocked, Stella Montis will offer a fresh environment for players to explore. Compared to the Rust Belt, this map features a pristine setting with ruins that provide intriguing lore about what humanity left behind during its push toward the stars. ### New Enemies: The Shredder and The Matriarch
Players will face new challenges with the introduction of new ARC enemies. The primary new foe is **The Shredder**, a formidable addition to the enemy roster. Additionally, there is the **Matriarch**, an especially dangerous adversary described as making the Queen “look friendly by comparison.” The Matriarch will only appear under certain map conditions, adding an unpredictable threat for players to prepare for.
### New Weapons and Play Styles
The update also brings a variety of new weapons, including the **Energy Burst Rifle**, **Impulse Mine**, **Timed Mine**, and **Gas Jump Mine**, providing players with fresh combat options.
In addition, Embark Studios is introducing new **Play Styles** called **Lone Wolf** and **Trailblazer**, allowing players to tailor their approach and tactics further.

Alongside the map, enemies, and weapons, players can also look forward to new quests and challenges. A new progress track called **Staking Our Claim** will unlock alongside Stella Montis, featuring additional rewards and objectives to complete.
