If you spend enough time looking at pictures of adorable lions and other big cats online, it’s easy to forget just how dangerous these majestic creatures really are. Trust us—we know the feeling. Our job constantly has us scrolling through cute big cat photos. Not that we’re complaining! Still, we sometimes joke that one day, we’ll end up on the news for trying to pet an animal best admired from afar. Can you blame us? They’re just so irresistible.
Honestly, if we ever got the chance, we’d probably try to befriend one. But every so often, it’s good to be reminded why reaching into a zoo enclosure—no matter how cute its resident—is never a good idea.
What’s the best way to remember just how powerful these animals are? For us, it was watching a couple of professional wrestlers face off against an adorable lioness in a game of tug of war.
