Every cat person knows that the cat chooses you — it’s not the other way around. Even if you think it was you who got up that morning, decided you were ready to adopt a cat, went to the shelter, picked out a cat, and brought them home, think again. That cat was pulling your little puppet strings all along.
Cats are in cahoots with the universe. From the very moment the thought of adopting a cat entered your mind, that cat was the one who sent it there. And that, my friend, is a cat fact.
Unfortunately, senior cats are much less likely to get adopted compared to kittens and healthy adult cats. It’s a shame, but that’s just how it is. However, that doesn’t mean the power of purr-suasion is any less strong!
Take this senior kitty named Dun Dun Dun, for example. This sweet cat lived in a free-roaming cat shelter in Colorado. But not for long. One day, when the facilities supervisor came in for work, Dun Dun Dun decided that person was their human. And guess what? You darn tootin’ the facilities supervisor adopted Dun Dun Dun that very same day!
