Asif Khan is the CEO, Editor-in-Chief, and majority shareholder of Shacknews. He began his career in video game journalism as a freelancer in 2001 for Tendobox.com.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Asif was formerly an investment adviser representative. After much success in his personal investments, he retired from his day job in financial services and now focuses on new private investment opportunities.
Asif’s favorite PC game of all time is Duke Nukem 3D, and he is an unapologetic fan of most things Nintendo. His journey with Shacknews began when it was known as sCary’s Shugashack, where he frequented the site to find all things related to Quake.
When he’s not immersed in investments or gaming, Asif is a purveyor of fine electronic music. He also has an irrational love of Cleveland sports.
