With the year rapidly coming to a close, it’s time for one more Hearthstone expansion for 2025. The Year of the Raptor takes a stroll through the ages with *Hearthstone: Across the Timeways*, a set that’s all about messing with the fabric of time. The latest expansion adds 145 cards across all 11 of the game’s classes and features some new mechanics, including the intriguing new **Rewind** keyword.
*Across the Timeways* is set to arrive today, which means it’s time again to take a look at some decks from Hearthstone’s most recognizable pros and streamers. Shacknews had a chance to play against some of these decks during the recent Hearthstone Theorycrafting session. While I didn’t have a lot of success, I did have a lot of fun and was able to pick up some valuable intel on this new set.
Let’s check out some deck ideas to help you get through the first day of this new expansion. Without further delay, here are some decks worth trying out on day one of *Across the Timeways*.

### Clark Hellscream’s Location Druid
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Construct Pylons (0)
– 2x Innervate (0)
– 2x Waveshaping (1)
– 2x Reforestation (2)
– 2x Story of Barnabus (2)
– 2x Swipe (3)
– 1x Elise the Navigator (4)
– 1x Zin-Azshari (4)
– 2x Scrapbooking Student (5)
– 1x Final Frontier (7)
– 1x Artanis (8)
This Druid deck sneaks up on players if they’re not careful. How do I know this? Well, see this hapless Patron player that Clark has queued up against twice? Yeah, that’s me.
I took my foot off the gas against this deck, thinking I had things well in hand, not realizing that the buffed-up Zin-Azshari location could hit for an obscene amount in a single turn by doubling the stats of a minion on board—including the Protoss minions that have Charge. Once your Zin-Azshari is buffed up, make a copy of it with Scrapbooking Student and you’ll suddenly be in a prime spot for a one-turn kill. There’s a good chance the opponent won’t even see it coming—I sure didn’t.

### Warshack’s Midrange Hunter
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Quel’dorei Fletcher (1)
– 2x Slumbering Sprite (1)
– 2x Untimely Death (2)
– 1x Ranger General Sylvanas (3)
– 1x Ranger Captain Alleria (3)
– 2x Wormhole (3)
– 2x Nightmare Lord Xavius (4)
– 2x Past Silvermoon (4)
– 2x Devious Coyote (5)
– 2x Ankylodon (6)
Hunter has more than aggro tools at its disposal in this expansion. There are handy midrange cards that are looking to prove more valuable than ever, such as Ankylodon and Devious Coyote. When played alongside the new **Untimely Death** secret, these minions simply pop back up on the board if the opponent removes them on the next turn.
The minions grow stronger with each Windrunner played, so try to find them quickly with tools like Portal Vanguard. The more Windrunners, the more potent their effect becomes.

### Christian’s Dragon Warrior
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Darkrider (1)
– 2x Giftwrapped Whelp (1)
– 2x Petal Peddler (2)
– 2x Quality Assurance (2)
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu (3)
– 1x Nightmare Lord Xavius (4)
– 2x Ancient of Yore (5)
– 1x Chrono-Lord Epoch (6)
– 1x Lo’Gosh, Blood Fighter (7)
– 1x Broll, Blood Fighter (7)
– 1x Valeera, Blood Fighter (7)
The Warrior’s fabled Legendaries require making it to 7 Mana, which isn’t always easy in an aggro-focused meta. Fortunately, this deck has enough control tools and lower-cost Dragons to keep you in the game until then.
Once Lo’Gash, Broll, and Valeera are on board, they hit hard, and their Deathrattle summons buffed-up versions of the others, making removal very tricky. Chemical Spill on Turn 5 can accelerate playing these powerful Legendaries.
Another MVP is **Chrono-Lord Epoch**, which can erase any minions played by the opponent on their last turn, often devastating and game-changing.

### Brigitteous’ Nature Shaman
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Static Shock (0)
– 1x Lightning Bolt (1)
– 2x Flux Revenant (2)
– 2x Thunderquake (3)
– 2x Hex (3)
– 1x Timelord Nozdormu (3)
– 1x Muradin, High King (5)
– 2x Stormrook (5)
– 1x Instant Multiverse (6)
– 1x Krag’wa, the Frog (6)
Shaman takes an interesting new approach this expansion with spells that can also hit its own minions. This “self-harm” style works effectively with minions like Flux Revenant and Stormrook, which gain significant benefits when hit by Nature spells.
**Krag’wa the Frog** returns many Nature spells to your hand for quick refresh.
Muradin, High King is the new Fabled Legendary, able to quickly buff his stats and become a formidable threat alongside his evolving weapon.

### Nohandsgamer’s Dragon OTK Mage
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Go with the Flow (1)
– 2x Mirror Dimension (1)
– 2x Primordial Glyph (2)
– 2x Buy One, Get One Free (3)
– 2x Watercolor Artist (3)
– 2x Rising Waves (3)
– 1x Azure Queen Sindragosa (5)
– 1x Azure King Malygos (5)
– 1x Azure Oathstone (8)
This Mage deck has only a few Dragons, but they’re impactful. The key is to draw **Buy One, Get One Free** using Watercolor Artist to reduce costs to zero, allowing you to copy Malygos and unleash devastating Arcane burst damage for a one-turn kill.
This combo requires careful play and survival until you can execute, which can be challenging in an aggro-heavy meta.

### Trump’s Handbuff Priest
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Overzealous Healer (1)
– 2x Paltry Flutterwing (1)
– 2x Power Word: Barrier (2)
– 2x Spirit of the Kaldorei (2)
– 2x Disciple of the Dove (3)
– 2x Kaldorei Priestess (3)
– 2x Flutterwing Guardian (4)
– 2x Divine Augur (5)
– 1x Eternus (6)
– 1x Malorne the Waywatcher (8)
Trump opted for a handbuff-focused Priest instead of the Medivh-heavy builds seen during theorycrafting. This deck relies on handbuff tools like Power Word: Barrier, Disciple of the Dove, and Divine Augur to buff stats significantly.
If the minion buffs don’t pan out, the Priest’s Imbue tools provide additional support to maintain board presence.

### Warshack’s Combo Rogue
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Preparation (0)
– 2x Shadowstep (0)
– 2x Deja Vu (1)
– 2x Dig for Treasure (1)
– 2x The Kingslayers (3)
– 2x Chrono Daggers (3)
– 2x Sonya Waterdancer (4)
– 1x Sandbox Scoundrel (5)
– 1x Chrono-Lord Deios (7)
– 1x Incindius (7)
This combo-focused Rogue deck requires assembling many pieces to work seamlessly.
The ultimate combo involves playing Chrono-Lord Deios, Mini Sandbox Scoundrel, Sonya Waterdancer, and another Mini Sandbox Scoundrel to reduce **Incindius**’ cost to (1), with Sonya copying Incindius and triggering its Battlecry and End of Turn effects twice, resulting in massive damage.
Surviving until turn 7 is crucial, so watch out for lethal from your opponent.

### Kris O’ Five’s Bwonsamdi Death Knight
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Morbid Swarm (1)
– 2x Brittlebone Buccaneer (2)
– 2x Blood Draw (3)
– 2x Chillfallen Baron (3)
– 2x Liferender (3)
– 1x Staff of the Endbringer (3)
– 1x What Befell Zandalar (3)
– 1x Carnivorous Cubicle (5)
– 2x Bwonsamdi (7)
– 1x Endbringer Umbra (7)
Bwonsamdi is literally the gift that keeps on giving, provided the deck can bring him back continuously.
Avoid packing Undead minions more expensive than Bwonsamdi, letting **Memoriam Manifest** revive him repeatedly.
If Bwonsamdi stays alive for multiple turns, Carnivorous Cube helps maintain his presence. Endbringer Umbra can trigger Deathrattles to flood the board with powerful minions swiftly.

### Zeddy’s Spell Demon Hunter
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 1x First Portal to Argus (0)
– 2x Illidari Studies (1)
– 2x Broxigar (2)
– 2x Chaos Strike (2)
– 2x Grim Harvest (2)
– 2x Solitude (3)
– 2x Lasting Legacy (3)
– 2x Wyvern’s Slumber (3)
– 1x Hounds of Fury (4)
– 1x The Eternal Hold (6)
Zeddy has come around to Demon Hunter with this new Spell Demon Hunter gimmick.
The goal is to get **Portals to Argus** online and kill the resulting demons, summoning a 12/12 Charge Broxigar.
This deck contains only spells and weapons, allowing cards like Blind Box and Time-Lost Glaive to find minions, while buffs like Solitude enhance them.
All of this feeds into The Eternal Hold, which lets you find one high-cost demon for free.

### Ozzie’s Rafaam Warlock
**Deck List Highlights:**
– 2x Paltry Flutterwing (1)
– 2x Prize Vendor (3)
– 1x Portal Vanguard (3)
– 2x Timelord Nozdormu (3)
– 2x Nightmare Lord Xavius (4)
– 2x RAFAAM LADDER!! (5)
– 1x Table Flip (10)
– 1x Timethief Rafaam (10)
Rafaam Warlock has many downsides, as I discovered firsthand during Theorycrafting when Trump played Dirty Rat and pulled **Timethief Rafaam**—wrecking the OTK play.
Despite the risks, this deck is extremely fun, racing to get the Rafaam win condition online.
Even if the OTK doesn’t connect, the individual Rafaam minions offer powerful effects—a 9/9 body that Polymorphs the board, a 7/7 that duplicates itself, and more.
Buffing these with cards like Nightmare Lord Xavius makes the deck a respectable threat. Don’t knock Rafaam until you try him—you might be surprised.
