Three Cheers for Mark Levin

Mark Levin Has Had Enough: A Fiery Defense of Israel, Christianity, and American Values

At the recent Republican Jewish Coalition’s Annual Leadership Summit in Las Vegas, conservative commentator Mark Levin delivered a powerful and passionate speech that struck a nerve across the political spectrum. Newsmax—where, full disclosure, I am a contributor—headlined Levin’s remarks with a bold statement:

**“Mark Levin Slams Tucker Carlson: ‘If You’re a Jew Hater, You’re a Christian Hater.’”**

Levin, a nationally syndicated radio host and author, used his platform at the summit to confront what he described as the growing “poison” of antisemitism spreading not only on the left but within parts of the right as well. According to the report, he called out prominent figures—including Tucker Carlson and Nick Fuentes—accusing some in the conservative movement of betraying the very principles of liberty and faith they claim to uphold.

At first glance, Levin’s message may seem like a “no-brainer.” Who wouldn’t agree that hatred against Jews is inherently linked to hatred against Christians? And that such bigotry has no place in America, especially within the political party that counts Abraham Lincoln, Ronald Reagan, and Donald Trump among its icons?

Yet, as Levin himself emphasized, it is essential to state this clearly and forcefully in today’s climate.

Levin continued:
**“You don’t get to claim you’re ‘America First’ while you line up with the Marxists, the Islamists, and Hamas. That’s not America first. That’s sick.”**

The irony is striking. Years ago, the American Left was a bastion of Jewish support for the Democratic Party. This support was partly due to the Democrats’ staunch backing of Israel, especially in the post-World War II era. It was, after all, Democrat President Harry Truman who officially recognized and supported the creation of Israel—making it a cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy.

However, the political landscape has shifted in recent years, with some on the left moving away from their historic support for Israel. Levin’s speech serves as a potent reminder that allegiance to Israel and Jewish values should transcend partisan divides and that antisemitism—whether from the left, right, or any other faction—must be confronted head-on.

In calling out individuals who warp the values of liberty and faith, Levin reaffirms a vision of America grounded in mutual respect and the defense of fundamental freedoms for all. His message resonates not only within conservative circles but across the nation as a call to reject hate in all its forms.
