Katin Houser helps East Carolina score 31 straight to pull away for 45-14 victory over Temple

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Katin Houser threw two touchdown passes as East Carolina scored the final 31 points in a dominant 45-14 victory over Temple on Saturday.

Houser opened the scoring with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Yannick Smith on the seventh play from scrimmage, giving East Carolina an early 7-0 lead.

The Pirates continued to build momentum when Ja’Marley Riddle intercepted a pass from Evan Simon just three plays after a turnover by Pooh Lawton, setting the tone for the rest of the game.

East Carolina’s strong finish secured a convincing win over Temple, highlighted by Houser’s efficient passing and key defensive plays.
