To obtain a tank in Battlefield 6: REDSEC, you need to complete one of two specific mission types.
#### 1. Mission with Golden Vehicle Keycard Reward
The first method involves completing one of the default missions that reward you with a golden vehicle keycard. These keycard reward missions are no easier or harder than the standard missions, so you can approach them at your own pace.
If none of your current missions offer a golden vehicle trailer keycard as a reward, there might not be tanks available nearby. However, if you know there is a vehicle trailer in the area, allow your missions to cycle a few times. There’s a good chance a mission awarding a tank keycard will eventually appear.
Once you complete the mission with the golden keycard reward, claim the keycard, which will direct you to a nearby vehicle trailer. Insert the keycard, endure a painfully slow opening animation, and then you can jump into and start driving the tank inside.
#### 2. The “Tank Hunter” Mission
The second option is completing a mission called “Tank Hunter,” which tasks you with seeking out another squad’s already active tank and either destroying or commandeering it.
While not the most elegant solution, commandeering an enemy tank can turn the tide of battle in your favor. However, getting the enemy squad to abandon the tank is challenging. It usually requires dealing enough damage to the tank to force the squad to jump out in a panic.
Once the tank is empty, one of your squad members can jump in and hold the position while the tank is repaired—provided you have an Engineer on your team.
Keep in mind, it’s quite difficult not to destroy the tank during this process. Successfully stealing it depends heavily on the opposing squad’s willingness to risk abandoning their armor. As with many things in Battlefield 6: REDSEC, commandeering a tank can feel like a bit of a dice roll.
