Epic Games has announced Sidekicks, new companions that can accompany players in Fortnite. These customizable creatures will be available in Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, and other game modes developed by Epic.
Sidekicks are set to make their debut when the next season kicks off on November 1, 2025. According to a recent blog post from Epic Games, these companions travel alongside players as they explore the game world and fight enemies.
While Sidekicks do not provide any competitive advantage, they add a fun and interactive element by mimicking player emotes and reacting to in-game actions. Most Sidekicks will be customizable when first acquired; however, once players finalize their changes, these customizations become permanent.
Players will also be able to earn Sidekick Points (SP) through gameplay, which can be used to unlock new cosmetics for their companions.
Several Sidekicks have been revealed ahead of their launch. Peels, a banana puppy, will be available as a reward in the new Battle Pass starting November 1, 2025. Additionally, Bonesy, Spike, and Lil’ Raptor will be introduced in the Item Shop on November 7, giving players plenty of options to personalize their Fortnite experience.
