You can find this fun quotation puzzle in several daily publications—designed especially to help combat early dementia and senility in us baby boomers. I challenge you to try out some of the best ones available!
Here’s how it works: each letter stands for another letter. For example, AXYDLBAAXR translates to LONGFELLOW (though this example does not apply to today’s cryptogram). Be warned—the game is very addictive!
If this is your first time playing, don’t be intimidated. You’ll be solving them all within just a few days. And if you get stumped, take a break and come back to it later.
**Important:** Please do NOT post the answer in general comments. However, feel free to share your solving time and how you made out. You can also send your solution to me via private reply. If you need a hint for today’s cryptogram, just ask the group for help!
I suggest printing the puzzles out to work on them with pen and paper. If you need a little assistance, you can copy and paste the puzzle into Hal’s Crypto Helper—available online. This tool lets you work on the puzzle without pen and paper, though I recommend you avoid looking at the letter counter to keep the challenge intact.
Happy puzzling!
