Capcom had a lot to share about the upcoming **Resident Evil Requiem**, unveiling a 10-minute “Road to Requiem” video on early Wednesday evening. The next installment in the Resident Evil series is now available for pre-order, but that’s not all the publisher revealed for fans.
### Exciting Exclusives and Nintendo Switch 2 Edition
Some special Resident Evil exclusives are on their way, with a couple of them coming to the **Nintendo Switch 2**. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Requiem was first announced at the September 2025 Nintendo Direct. While a mainline Resident Evil title coming to a Nintendo console is exciting news on its own, Capcom is clearly not stopping there.
During Wednesday’s Road to Requiem presentation, viewers learned that a special **Resident Evil Requiem Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller** will be available at launch. This controller will feature a gunmetal black design with unique patterns inspired by the game.
### The Very First Resident Evil Amiibo
Perhaps the most intriguing reveal is the development of the very first **Resident Evil Amiibo**. The Amiibo will be modeled after the main protagonist, Grace Ashcroft, and is expected to launch in Summer 2026. However, no images of the Amiibo were shown during the presentation.
### Resident Evil Deluxe Edition Details
In addition to hardware accessories, Capcom also revealed a **Resident Evil Deluxe Edition**. This edition will include five costumes, four weapon skins, two screen filters, and two weapon charms, giving fans plenty of ways to customize their experience.
### Looking Ahead: Resident Evil Showcase in 2026
While much has been revealed, there’s still more to come. To further excite fans, Capcom is planning a special **Resident Evil Showcase for early 2026**, promising more news and updates about Resident Evil Requiem.
