We have some encouraging news from Jamaica following the impact of Hurricane Melissa on the island.
Bridgette and Wayne Todd, the newlyweds from Halifax County who spoke with WRAL News earlier this week about preparing for the storm at their resort near Negril, are safe and doing well.
On Wednesday afternoon, we received a message from them sharing that they were fortunate to be in a part of the country that wasn’t hit as hard.
“We were thankful not to have been hit as badly as other parts of Jamaica,” said Bridgette Todd.
