NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang announced during today’s GTC Keynote presentation that the company is manufacturing its Blackwell AI GPUs in America. Huang, known for his signature leather jacket, also showcased a compelling video highlighting NVIDIA’s revamped supply chain.
This announcement comes amid the ongoing trade tensions between the U.S. and China. NVIDIA has found itself at the center of the Trump administration’s trade war, making today’s move to bring production back to the United States a strategic response aligned with the administration’s push for onshore manufacturing.
Interestingly, Jensen Huang recently criticized the Trump administration, noting that NVIDIA held a 95% market share in China before tariffs escalated in April 2025. Despite the financial challenges caused by having to halt all AI GPU business in China, Huang delivered a strong message to close out the announcement video: “The age of AI has begun, made in America, made for the world.”
