Get Ready for Supercon

It’s just about all we can think about over here: the week leading up to the 2025 Superconference.

From what we hear, it’s all hands on deck in Pasadena right now, as everyone puts the finishing touches on preparations for Hackaday’s annual US gathering. We’ve been heads-down working on the badge for a little while, and between that and managing all the logistics, it’s easy to get lost in the work.

Then we came across this video that [InstantArcade] shot, casually walking through the event a couple of years back. It’s not a highlights reel by any means, but seeing so many familiar faces and remembering the fantastic conversations we’d shared brought back a flood of amazing memories. There was so much energy, interest, and simple excitement — people eager to share stories, talk about what they’re working on, or just discuss the latest mind-blowing tech they’d discovered.

There is truly no substitute for being there in person, but that doesn’t mean we’re not going to try! We’ll be putting the talks up on our YouTube channel next Saturday, and as always, you’re invited to join the discussion on our Discord server both during the event and anytime after. If you’re not able to be there in the alley, join us virtually!

Here’s a quick look at the schedule:

– **Thursday, 7:00 PM:** Informal pre-meetup at King’s Row. Bring a hack if you have something to share!
– **Friday morning:** Kickoff at Supplyframe HQ. We’ll talk badges, get to know each other, nerd out, and just chill. (I love Fridays!)
– **Friday night:** Halloween/sci-fi costume party—don’t miss it!
– **Saturday:** Two tracks of talks at the LACM and Design Lab, running late into the night.
– **Sunday:** Extra hour of sleep thanks to the switch back to standard time, so you’ll be well-rested for the final day.

There’s still plenty to do behind the scenes, but seeing you all there makes it more than worth it. We can’t wait to see you at Supercon!

Oh, and a quick note: there will be no newsletter next week, but you can spend all day Saturday and Sunday watching the talks live online. That makes up for it, right?
