25-Years-Owned 1971 Chevrolet Corvette LT-1 Coupe 4-Speed

This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette coupe was acquired by the current owner in 2000. The 350ci LT-1 V8 engine is said to have been rebuilt the same year, offering strong performance and reliability.

Starting in 2020, the car underwent significant refurbishment work. This included reupholstering the interior, refinishing the body, and overhauling both the brakes and rear suspension to enhance driving safety and comfort.

Additional notable equipment on this Corvette includes a four-speed manual transmission, a Positraction limited-slip differential, MSD ignition system, removable roof panels, 15″ Rally wheels, retractable headlights, a cabin heater, and an aftermarket Bluetooth-capable stereo.

Finished in the factory color Brands Hatch Green (983), the car was refinished in 2021. While the exterior shows some dust and minor paint drips within the clear coat, it retains classic Corvette styling cues such as removable roof panels, pop-up headlights, twin front grilles, fender vents, quadruple taillights, and dual rectangular exhaust outlets.

The 15″ Rally wheels are currently fitted with 225/70 Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. Stopping power is provided by ventilated rotors on all four corners, complemented by a fully independent suspension system for improved handling. A 2021 service included rebuilding the brake calipers, rear suspension, and drive axles to maintain mechanical integrity.

Inside, the 2020 interior refurbishment replaced the seat covers, carpeting, and door panels, revitalizing the cabin. The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer and tachometer; however, the speedometer and the clock are currently inoperative. Additional instrumentation features an ammeter and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure mounted in the center stack.

The odometer reads 58,000 miles, with roughly 500 miles recorded under the current ownership, though true mileage remains unknown. The engine, originally rated at 330 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, includes a four-barrel carburetor, finned-aluminum valve covers, and a smog pump. In 2000, the MSD ignition system was installed, along with replacement wiring. Vacuum lines and actuators were also replaced in 2021. The removed distributor is included in the sale.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels via the four-speed manual transmission and the Positraction limited-slip differential, providing engaging and confident driving dynamics.

This green-over-green C3 Corvette is offered for sale by the current owner on behalf of their father, with no reserve. It comes with the owner’s manual and a transferable New York registration, which serves as the official ownership document in New York state.

Please note that the headlights and windshield wiper cover are currently stuck in the open position. Despite these minor issues, this classic Corvette remains a well-maintained example ready for further enjoyment.
