Phil Spencer claims Xbox releases on PS5 & Switch 2 remain a major part of its plans

As high-profile launches from Xbox Game Studios continue this season, they are increasingly reaching systems beyond Xbox and Windows hardware. A recent example is *Ninja Gaiden 4*, which was published by Xbox and launched simultaneously on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

This trend appears set to continue. According to Phil Spencer, the PlayStation 5 and the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 ecosystems remain integral to Xbox Game Studios’ plans. Spencer shared these insights in a recent interview with Famitsu, where he emphasized the studio’s commitment to expanding gaming experiences even on competitors’ platforms.

When asked specifically about the PS5 and Switch 2, Spencer pointed to recent releases as examples of this approach. One highlight was *Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4* on Switch 2, described as “a delight” and delivering an experience on par with other systems, as noted by Editor-in-Chief Asif Khan and myself in our coverage.

Similarly, we reviewed *Ninja Gaiden 4* on PlayStation 5. Despite some occasional visual glitches, it remains an incredibly exciting action title from Xbox Game Studios and Team Ninja, showcasing the potential of cross-platform releases from Xbox.
