2XKO Patch 1.0.1.2: Major Fixes and Improvements Arrive
With 2XKO having been out in early access for a couple of weeks now, Riot Games finally had enough data to roll out one of the game’s first major patches. Patch 1.0.1.2 was released this week, bringing a variety of important fixes and updates aimed at improving the overall gameplay experience.
Some issues addressed were blatantly obvious—no more Warwick launching into orbit when tagging out from an aerial combo! Other adjustments might be less noticeable but are equally important in building a better 2XKO.
Patch Highlights
Riot Games’ latest update focuses heavily on fixing Warwick’s quirky bug. Previously, when tagging out after executing his mid-air S2 special, Warwick would bug out and fly off into the sky. That unexpected behavior has now been resolved—Riot jokingly refers to it as saying, “Goodbye, updog.”
Additional key fixes include stabilizing the system to help prevent crashes and disconnects, improving collision detection between Champions (especially in corners), and more.
Live Updates Already Implemented
These hotfixes went live alongside the recent patch, so you might already have heard about them through social channels. Here’s what’s changed:
– Some higher-tier Champion Mastery missions have been made easier to complete.
– The rotating store now refreshes weekly instead of biweekly.
Upcoming Bug Fixes (Effective October 21, Patch 1.0.1.2)
Collision Improvements:
– Champions no longer pass through each other unexpectedly, particularly when in the corner and using Assists. This fix addresses issues with corner-stealing moves like Ekko’s Phase Dive or Warwick’s Wrath of the Beast (with Bloodlust active) when multiple champions are on-screen.
– Champions will no longer become “trapped” when pinned between two other champions at the center of the screen—they can now be pushed normally.
– Both left (Player 1) and right (Player 2) sides now have the same corner priority properties during corner steals involving Assists.
Champion-Specific Fixes:
– Ekko: Fixed a bug where Arcane Ekko would sometimes leave behind a smoke effect after executing Attempt #37 (Ultimate).
– Warwick: Resolved the bug causing Warwick to fly away after Handshake Tagging out of Spinning Slicer (mid-air S2) in Freestyle Fuse—no more unintended sky-high launches!
– Warwick’s Ankle Swipe (C) > Primal Leap (Down S1) combos no longer drop on Yasuo.
– Yasuo: Yasuo’s Turbulent Wind (mid-air or standing S2) now correctly applies damage scaling, lowering damage output for common combos and routes. Damage scaling applies on the second and third hit, totaling 20%.
Miscellaneous Fixes:
– Added a widget to the main menu displaying current server status and upcoming downtime.
– Fixed a crash bug occurring when entering the Champion Select screen.
– Resolved frequent disconnects experienced by users during matches.
– Fixed a bug that caused players to get stuck on the rank promotion screen at the end of rank-up matches. Pressing the confirmation button will now skip the animation properly.
– Addressed memory leaks that happened when playing consecutive matches.
– Fixed incorrect Ranked points display on the Grandmaster leaderboard.
