How to get all Legendary Pokémon in Legends Z-A

**How to Catch the Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Z-A**

In Pokémon Legends Z-A, there are three Legendary Pokémon to add to your collection: Zygarde, Xerneas, and Yveltal. Collecting all three is a significant endeavor, with each requiring specific steps to encounter and catch.

### Catching Xerneas

Unlike Xerneas and Yveltal, Zygarde appears during the main campaign. However, to catch Xerneas, you’ll need to complete the story first.

After beating the campaign, you’ll wake up in a hotel and learn about Infinite Royale. Your first battle will be against Zach, marking your first Battle Royale fight. Upon defeating him, return to the hotel and you will unlock two main quests: **The One That Gives** and **The One That Takes**.

**The One That Gives**

This quest starts by defeating three Alpha Pokémon that appear in the wild. Head to the Pokémon Research Center and speak with Mable to get the details.

– **Wild Zone 3:** Steelix (Level 70)
– **Wild Zone 5:** Gallade (Level 70)
– **Wild Zone 9:** Pangoro (Level 70)

After defeating all three, proceed to **Wild Zone 11**. You’ll find a marker across the river where Level 75 Xerneas awaits. Use Poison and Steel-type Pokémon to gain a natural advantage in this battle.

*Note:* If you fail to catch Xerneas, you’ll need to restart the encounter from the beginning.

### Catching Yveltal

The second main Legendary quest is **The One That Takes**, where you’ll meet Grisham and Griselle. Accompany them to Quasartico Inc. and speak with Vinnie.

You’ll face the Mega Evolved forms of Victreebell, Hawlucha, and Tyranitar. These three Mega Evolutions are formidable opponents, and you will have no allies during this battle. Be sure to dodge carefully, as multiple hits can cause you to blackout and restart the fight.

Once you defeat all three Mega forms, head to the rooftop of Galerie de la Lune, located in the northern part of Lumiose City, to encounter Yveltal.

Yveltal is a Dark/Flying-type Pokémon, making it vulnerable to Electric and Ice-type moves. Fairy-type Pokémon also have an advantage. Make sure to catch Yveltal during this first encounter to avoid having to repeat the quest and fight it again.

### Catching Zygarde

After securing both Xerneas and Yveltal, return to Hotel Z. Lysandre will approach you, and you must defeat him first before facing Zygarde. His team includes:

– Pyroar (Level 78) — Normal/Fire
– Florges (Level 78) — Fairy
– Sableye (Level 78) — Dark/Ghost
– Garbodor (Level 78) — Poison
– Noivern (Level 78) — Flying/Dragon
– Mega Gyarados (Level 80) — Water/Dark

Once Lysandre is defeated, head to **Wild Zone 20**, in the center of Lumiose City, where Zygarde will spawn.

This battle is one of the toughest in the game. Zygarde is a Ground/Dragon-type Pokémon and is weak against Ice, Fairy, and Dragon-type moves—using Yveltal here can be especially effective.

### Zygarde Battle Mechanics

Zygarde will force you to lock onto your current Pokémon without the option to switch unless your Pokémon faints.

The battle unfolds in three phases:

1. **Dog Form:** Fight Zygarde at 10% power.
2. **Serpent Form:** Battle Zygarde at 50% power.
3. **Robot Form:** Face Zygarde at full power.

If you take a hit during this battle, you will black out and have to restart from the beginning.

Upon defeating Zygarde, you’ll receive the **Zygardite** stone, which allows you to Mega Evolve Zygarde during battle. Additionally, Lysandre will give you the **Zygarde Cube**, enabling you to switch between Zygarde’s Dog and Serpent forms at will.

By following these steps carefully, you can successfully catch all three Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Legends Z-A and complete your collection. Good luck, Trainer!
