Nottingham Forest fires manager Ange Postecoglou minutes after 3-0 loss to Chelsea

NOTTINGHAM, England (AP) — Nottingham Forest fired manager Ange Postecoglou minutes after a 3-0 loss to Chelsea on Saturday.

Postecoglou did not win any of his eight matches in charge after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo on September 9. This was his first job since being dismissed by Tottenham at the end of last season, despite leading Spurs to the Europa League title and breaking a 17-year trophy drought.

Under Postecoglou’s tenure, Forest has lost six matches and drawn two out of eight games. This includes four defeats in five league matches, during which the team scored just one goal. As a result, Nottingham Forest now hovers just above the bottom three in the league standings.
