1988 Land Rover 90 County V8 5-Speed at No Reserve

This 1988 Land Rover 90 is a right-hand-drive County model imported to the US from the UK in 2024. It is powered by a 3.5-liter V8 engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a locking center differential.

Finished in Alpine White over Moorland cloth upholstery, this Land Rover features a body-color hardtop and 16″ Rostyle wheels. Additional exterior equipment includes front disc brakes, a pop-up sunroof, a front brush guard, a receiver hitch, alpine windows, black checker-plate trim, windshield vents, and a rear tow ball. The 16″ Rostyle wheels are equipped with 225/75 New Michelin Agilis Cross Climate tires bearing 2024 production codes, and a spare tire is mounted on the rear.

The truck was acquired by the current owner in 2024 and is offered for sale on dealer consignment at no reserve. Included with the sale are an owner’s manual, two sets of keys, service records, previous MOT inspection documents, import paperwork, a clean Carfax report, and a Washington state title listing the vehicle as a 1990 model.

According to the selling dealer, the original County graphics were removed under previous ownership and the truck has been repainted in its factory Alpine White shade. The rear shock absorbers were replaced in 2024, and undercoating has been applied to the chassis. Stopping power comes from front disc brakes paired with rear drums.

Inside, the seating surfaces are upholstered in Moorland cloth. Interior appointments include alloy shifter and transfer case knobs, inward-facing rear jump seats, a Pioneer Bluetooth head unit, an analog clock, a cabin heater, all-weather floor mats, and a center console with storage and cupholders. It is worth noting that portions of the headliner are loose.

The instrumentation cluster features a 120-mph speedometer along with auxiliary gauges monitoring battery charge, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer reads 130,000 miles, with fewer than 1,000 miles added under current ownership.

Under the hood, the 3.5-liter Rover V8 is equipped with dual SU carburetors and aftermarket air cleaners. The oil was recently changed in preparation for sale, though some oil seepage is noted on the driveline. Power is delivered to all four wheels through an L77 five-speed manual transmission, dual-range transfer case, and locking center differential. The gear oil in the front and rear differentials was also replaced prior to sale.

The Carfax report indicates no accidents or damage history, with the vehicle’s history beginning in Washington state as of September 2024. The current Washington title carries an “Antique” brand designation.

This well-maintained and carefully documented Land Rover 90 presents a great opportunity for enthusiasts seeking a classic British 4×4 with genuine vintage appeal.
