Afghanistan have sealed a commanding 3-0 victory over Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series, triumphing in the final encounter by a massive margin of 200 runs. The match, held in Abu Dhabi, saw Afghanistan post a formidable total of 293 for nine wickets before bowling out Bangladesh for a mere 93 runs.

This series win provides a satisfying turnaround for Afghanistan, mirroring Bangladesh’s recent T20I success against them by the same margin earlier this month.

**Afghanistan’s Batting Highlights**

The Afghan innings began positively with an impressive 99-run opening partnership between Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. However, after Gurbaz’s dismissal, Afghanistan suffered a dramatic collapse, losing four wickets for just 15 runs within 25 balls.

Despite this setback, Mohammad Nabi played a vital role in reviving the innings with a late surge. He unleashed a powerful assault in the final overs, smashing three sixes in four balls off Mehidy Hasan Miraz, followed by another six and three boundaries off Hasan Mahmud. Nabi’s aggressive hitting helped Afghanistan reach a competitive total of 293 for nine.

**Key Performers: Zadran and Nabi Shine**

Ibrahim Zadran was the standout batsman for Afghanistan, scoring a near-century with 95 runs. Meanwhile, Nabi’s explosive 62 runs off just 37 balls proved crucial in pushing the total beyond the 290-run mark. Initially, a score of 250-260 seemed likely, but Nabi’s late blitz decisively swung momentum in Afghanistan’s favor.

**Dominant Bowling Display**

Afghanistan’s bowling was equally impressive, with Rashid Khan leading the charge. The star spinner wreaked havoc early, claiming three wickets within his first three overs. His opening over was particularly lethal, dismissing Towhid Hridoy on the very first ball.

Bilal Sami then capitalized on the pressure, delivering a brilliant spell that yielded five wickets in total. Together, Rashid and Sami dismantled Bangladesh’s batting lineup, culminating in Bangladesh being bundled out for just 93 runs.

Afghanistan’s comprehensive performance in both batting and bowling secured their emphatic series whitewash over Bangladesh, asserting their dominance in the ODI format ahead of upcoming international fixtures.
