**Varun Dhawan Reveals He Got Drunk to Portray Intoxication in ‘JugJugg Jeeyo’**

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan recently opened up about how he and his co-star Maniesh Paul began drinking alcohol early in the morning to convincingly portray drunkenness for a scene in the film *JugJugg Jeeyo*. However, the situation quickly got out of hand for the duo, as Dhawan shared in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla.
**Shooting the Drunken Scene**
Dhawan recalled the climax scene featuring Anil Kapoor, where his character has to deliver a drunken speech during a vow renewal ceremony. “During that climax scene with Anil sir, when they are renewing their vows, I get drunk and I give a speech. So we were supposed to be drunk. We started at 7:30 AM. So Maniesh and I started drinking in the morning, and by 2:00 PM, we were slurring,” he revealed.
**Shooting Had to Continue the Next Day**
The actor admitted that their level of intoxication made it difficult to complete the scenes in one go. “And the next day, the shoot continued, so we had to drink again,” Dhawan added.
**What’s Next for Varun Dhawan?**
Apart from *JugJugg Jeeyo*, Varun Dhawan is set to appear next in *Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari*. The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, and Rohit Saraf in pivotal roles and is scheduled to hit theaters on Thursday, October 2.
