MANILA, Philippines — Poland secured the bronze medal in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship with a hard-fought victory over Czechia, winning 25-18, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21 on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Licking the wounds of a straight-set defeat to defending champion Italy less than 24 hours earlier, Poland showed resilience and determination in their match for third place. Wilfred Leon played a pivotal role, leading the Polish team’s charge to vengeance and ultimately clinching the win.
