NORTH BAY, Ont. – Kieren Dervin scored the game-winning goal at 19:21 of the first period as the visiting Kingston Frontenacs edged the North Bay Battalion 2-1.

Jacob Battaglia also scored for Kingston, who were heavily outshot 43-24 but benefitted from outstanding goaltending by Matthew Minchak, who stopped 42 of 43 shots.

Evgeny Dubrovtsev scored for the Battalion. North Bay goalie Jack Lisson made 22 saves on 24 shots.

Windsor Spitfires Shut Out Oshawa Generals 4-1

OSHAWA, Ont. – Ethan Garden scored a goal and added three assists, while Ethan Belchetz and Jean-Christoph Lemieux each recorded a goal and an assist, helping the visiting Windsor Spitfires to a 4-1 victory over the Oshawa Generals.

Cole Dubowsky also scored for Windsor, who were outshot 36-27 but received stellar goaltending from Michael Newlove.

Sam Roberts scored the lone goal for Oshawa, who trailed 2-1 after the first period, with no scoring in the second. Both teams struggled on the power play as the Spitfires went 0-for-5, and the Generals went 0-for-4.
